Three years ago, I stumbled across this unknown artist, Joshua Radin. The first song of his that I ever heard was "Someone Else's Life." After just one verse I was hooked!. Last April I had the great opportunity to see him live at Club Dada in Dallas. What an amazing show! Schuyler Fisk opened up for him and they sang together as well.
I have been anticipating his new album to come out for so long! He released three new songs from the new album on iTunes and they are phenomenal! One features a great artist, Ingrid Michaelson. You might know her by her "roagine" song.
On March 14th, Josh rolled back into Dallas, bringing along 4 other amazing acts from the Hotel Cafe Tour: Cary Brothers (founder of the tour), Sara Bareilles, Greg Laswell and Ingrid Michaelson. They played at the House of Blues. What a great venue!!! It was an amazing show and I was blown away at the incredible talent that these musicians had! At the end of the show I got to meet my favorite, Josh. I totally cut in front of about 40 girls. I always dreamed that when I met him, I would be so cool and act like it was not a big deal. Yeah right! I was totally star struck. I felt like such a little girl! He was so sweet and friendly. I told him that I had already seen him and he seemed really touched that I came back. I noticed when he was taking pictures with other people, he was not showing his teeth when he smiled. So as he put his arm around me to pose for the picture I told him to show some teeth. He started cracking up!! Me, a giddy, girly fan got him to laugh.
On the ride home, I annoyed my friends, Toni, Lauren, Cherie and Amber to death. I had the biggest adrenaline rush of my life....the only kind I get from seeing live bands. Here are some pictures from the night!
