Feeling Better

So I'm not feeling sorry for myself anymore. I really do hate that I feel that way from time to time. I am very lucky that I have all of my family members still in my life. On a happier note I am so excited for my trip to Alabama in May. Every year my Mom's side of the family gets together for decoration (they go and put flowers on the family graves) and then has a big family dinner. I haven't been to this in over 10 years. Some of my family members I have seen since I was 19. My sister, Libby and her husband and son, are going to fly in from SLC and mom and dad are in driving up from Orlando. Im very excited to see them and spend time with them. We will also be seeing my dad's side of the family while we're there. This will be my first big road trip by myself. 11 hours of driving....any good tips on how to not get bored?

Girllllllllllllll! I am so excited for you and this roadtrip! Last summer I drove to Rexburg and back by myself and it was one of the best things ever. I didn't do it all in one day. I drove to SLC, stopping in St. George for a few hours to hang with a friend, and then on to SLC. Minus the time in St. George that's a 10 hour drive. I spent a couple days in SLC, then drove to Rexburg, spent a few days, back to SLC, spent a night, then back home. I only got sick of the drive when I hit traffic in Vegas. I freaking loved it! Prior to this the longest I'd driven alone was Rexburg to Provo.
I caught up on a lot of overdue phone calls, and listened to all my old high school and college CDs. Let me tell you, it was FUN! Oh yeah, and I made frequent stops (which I actually hate) because I kept drinking soda like it was going out of style.
Take the time to enjoy it!
